Person with lived experience in recovery from a substance use disorder and experience navigating the recovery community / self-help resources

Highschool equivalent with a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or the ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist within one year of employment (training provided)

Knowledge and training in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders/Diagnosis
Responsibilities: (Training Provided)

Assist in developing a recovery-oriented system of care for individuals needing substance use disorder services

Develop partnerships with community stake holders and other treatment providers

Respond to community calls for assistance
-
Accept community referrals
-
Follow up services
-
Assist individuals to obtain necessary treatment services
-
Advocate and assist clients in navigating community treatment services
-
Assist clients in accessing recovery community/self-help resources
-
Safety Planning
-
Documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
-
Must be able to travel
