Peer Recovery Specialist
Recover Coach Substance Use
Program

  • Person with lived experience in recovery from a substance use disorder and experience navigating the recovery community / self-help resources

  • Highschool equivalent with a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or the ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist within one year of employment (training provided)

  • Knowledge and training in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders/Diagnosis

 

Responsibilities: (Training Provided)

 

  • Assist in developing a recovery-oriented system of care for individuals needing substance use disorder services

  • Develop partnerships with community stake holders and other treatment providers

  • Respond to community calls for assistance

  • Accept community referrals

  • Follow up services

  • Assist individuals to obtain necessary treatment services

  • Advocate and assist clients in navigating community treatment services

  • Assist clients in accessing recovery community/self-help resources

  • Safety Planning

  • Documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards

  • Must be able to travel
