JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Community Support Specialist Residential Program

Classification: Part Time

Employment Status: Based on program needs.  Flexible schedule required, including daytime hours, evening hours, overnight hours, and weekends.

Must pass all required background checks. If hired to drive agency vehicles must have acceptalbe auto insurance.

Organizational structure: This position reports to the House Manager, Residential Program Director, Clinical Director 

Requirements:

121 Y.O.High School Diploma or equivalent.

2Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the Community Resource Center mission and philosophy.

3Experience in helping profession preferred, motivation to assist those with mental Illness

4Capable of learning electronic health care records software. 

5Communicates well with co-workers for team approach and with those residents assigned.

6Demonstrate proficiency in time management. 

7Demonstrates compassion and patience with residents.

8Maintain confidentiality to comply with  HIPHAA standards for protected healthcare.

9Attend all mandated training/supervision unless granted exclusion by the Res. Prg. Dir.

Essential Functions: 

1Teach daily living skills to clients.

2Write billing tickets on staff/client interventions.

3Sign tickets on computer within 7 days of writing them

4Transport clients in daily living activities, such as shopping and medical  

visits.(once approved by CRC insurance provider)

5Support clients as they engage with medical and professional personnel.

6Handle mental health crisis.

7Residential house cleaning and upkeep. 

8Participate in any training as assigned. 

9Treat all clients with dignity, respect and compassion

10All staff must remain awake and alert during entire assigned shifts.

Must comply with all medicaid billing guidelines and any purposeful deviation will be considered Medicaid Fraud.

Supervisory Controls:  Required to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision.  Consultation with House Manger is available as needed.  Works closely with Residential House Team Members. 

Guidelines: Position is expected to follow all CRC policies and procedures as well as all local, state and federal laws.  Position is also expected to adhere to and foster development of CRC core values of compassion, honesty, respect, responsibility, confidentiality and fairness. 

Personal Relationships: Position will have daily contact with clients with mental health issues, other residential team members, CRC employees and members of the community.  All interaction with clients has to be on a staff to client basis, no dual relationships will be allowed. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Position is performed in a busy residential environment with frequent distractions and interruptions.  Travel to other CRC offices may be required as meeting/training is assigned.
